NETWORK SECURITY ENGINEER POSITION SUMMARY

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining network security protocols, policies, and procedures. This role requires a deep understanding of network infrastructure and the ability to implement security measures that ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement network security protocols, policies, and procedures to safeguard our data and information systems.
  • Monitor network activity for signs of unauthorized access, intrusions, and security breaches.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network security compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security threats.
  • Analyze network traffic to identify and prevent security threats and attacks.
  • Configure, install, and maintain security software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging network security trends, technologies, and threats.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in network security engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure and security protocols.
  • Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and other security software.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI, HIPAA, and SOX.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security, or CISSP are preferred.
